It is with great sadness that the family of George William Jackson announces his passing. George died peacefully in Regina on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his wife Elaine (Morrell); brothers Donald and Tom; and parents Elsie and Russell. George is survived by his three children: Cheryl (Barry), grandchildren Jackson, Eva and Isabel; Russell, grandchildren Abby and Maddy; and Brian, grandchildren Tanisha, Cassidy and Rylan; as well as many nieces and nephews. George was a fun-loving friend to many and we will miss his jokes and stories. He was always trying to make us laugh. We would like to thank the staff and residents of the Regina Renaissance Retirement Residence and Wascana Long-Term Care, where George spent his last several years. Thank you for your care and compassion, your companionship and friendship. George loved to read, and spent many, many hours at the Regina Public Library throughout his life. Anyone wishing to honour him may do so by making a donation in his name to the Regina Public Library, 2311 12^th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 0N3. A celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date.
