I have just returned from attending Veronica's service. To say it was a tad different would surely be an understatement but I found it a testament to Veronica and also to her family
My Scottie dog, Taffy, and myself are volunteers with St. John Dog Therapy Program and we have been going to Qu'Appelle House for what I believe must be close to four years. Veronica and I got along famously, she could make me laugh - that is a talent all by itself. I spent a lot of time visiting her and we got to be more than acquaintances.
I enjoyed every minute Taffy and I spent with her and I shall miss her. If I thought I could have gotten away with it, I would have taken Taffy with me today to say goodbye to her friend.
It was our privilege to be a part of the last months of Veronica's stay on earth -
