Obituary of Scott Perry Goddard
GODDARD, Scott Perry
June 18, 1950 – May 10, 2019
Scott, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the age of 68. Born in Ottawa, he lived in Ottawa, Regina, Calgary, and Castlegar throughout his life. Predeceased by parents John Perry and Byrnece Goddard, Scott is survived by his sister Leslie; daughter Sarah (Danial); son Thomas (Marlene); and grandchildren, Nathan, Micah, and Juliet. Scott will be remembered for his warm, welcoming personality, his infectious laugh, his passionate advocacy for workers’ rights, his love of music, his adventurous spirit, and for the unconditional love and care he showed for his children and grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, the family will not be holding an official service. Instead, his ashes will be scattered in the prairie which he loved, where his mother Byrnece’s ashes lie as well. Scott’s family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or an organization of your choice that you think of when you think of Scott. Scott made fast friends wherever he traveled, forging life-long friendships with wonderful people across Canada. We ask that those friends reading this, honour Scott by getting together to share stories, laugh, and share a drink in his honour, as he would have wanted.
