I was absolutely devastated when I saw Jamie's obituary. I knew Jamie both personally and on a business level. He was personable, kind and friendly. He truly cared about other people.My heart goes out to all of you. I am unable to attend the barbecue. You are all in my thoughts.

I met Jamie, the kindest person in the world, when I was at Luther College. We have been friends for all these years and I have always held him in my heart. I will miss his sense of humour and his style , also his sweet demeanor. I hope he knows that he was a very special person in my life and I had some of the best times of my life just hanging out with him. When I moved to Brownsville, Texas I made a point of visiting Jamie whenever I went I went up North to see my family.

I just learned the news of Jamie passing. I am heartbroken for the family left behind. So many fond memories of summer days and winter nights that we all shared, with Jamie many times at the centre of it all. I know he will be missed terribly as he was such a gentle soul and touched so many lives. My heart breaks with you all this day. May his passage to heaven be paved with the love he shared in this world and now takes with him to rejoin those who have gone before.
