Obituary of Joan Allen

Joan passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 87 years. She was born in Milestone, SK. She completed her nurse’s training at the Grey Nun’s Hospital in February, 1954. Her married life was spent on the farm at Wilcox and then Regina. Her husband, John Allen, passed away in July, 2017. They were married 62 years. Joan was predeceased by her parents, William and Annie Watkins; and siblings, Ronald, Ruby and Christopher. She is survived by her children and their families: Douglas Allen, wife Angie Royan and children Tyler and Stephanie; Jayne Newman, husband Brad Newman and daughters Jennifer and Melony; and Joanne Allen and her son, Michael. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, SK on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
