It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son and brother, James Joseph McGinn on June 17, 2019. James is survived by his parents Rosemarie (Dale) McGinn McAuley and Patrick (Helga) McGinn; brothers Matthew (Cassie) McGinn and Austin McGinn; sister Tianna (Zach) McGinn; niece Emmilia McGinn; and a large extended family across Canada. James was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Paula and Harry Brokop; his paternal grandfather William McGinn; sister Katie McGinn and uncle Daniel McGinn. James had achieved much in his short life of 35 years. He achieved his first class power engineer status and for 10 years worked in the oil and gas sector in Alberta and more recently in a pulp and paper mill in Ontario. James was gifted with extraordinary intelligence and had a wide spectrum of interests in academia, career orientation, sports and family life. James had an inquisitive mind, and easily rose to the challenge of applying mechanics and technology to the world around him. James had a particular interest in financial investment and management. All of these interests and endeavors brought James self-fulfillment and happiness. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass Celebrating James’ Life will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 315 Douglas Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
