To all of Betty's family and friends: I met Betty and Larry at different functions in and around Southey over the past 11 years. I always enjoyed our encounters. Truly a pair of sweethearts! :I admired Betty's work ethic planting and maintaining up to three gardens every summer! She told me once that she and Larry planted thousands of trees at their farm - what an.incredible feat! Everyone who mentioned Betty as one of their teachers spoke of her fondly. She was a lovely woman and I am glad I got to know her and Larry, however briefly. I am sure you will all find deep comfort in many, many beautiful memories of special times spent together. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

We were very sorry to hear of aunt Betty's passing. She was my grade 4 teacher at Bryn Mawr. I think it was her first year of teaching. I did not realize until now that she was only 8 years older than me. I do remember one time her asking me if I was related to Larry Gellner. It must have been the start of the courtship. She was a very dedicated and conscientious person and will be missed. We enjoyed visiting with them when we were in there. Jack and Judd

On behalf of Al and myself, we send our condolences to Sheldon and family and Sherri and family. I am so blessed to have had Betty in my life. We became twin pen-pals 65 years ago corresponding and sharing our life's events in our growing up years to this year. Several times we met and became closer and as a result becoming more like sisters. I will miss our phone calls and her wonderful poetry. Part of my life has ended with her passing. Betty will be sorely missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Betty’s sudden passing.She taught me at Bryan Mawr and I remember it with fondness, and always enjoyed talking with her at the different functions at North Southey Church where I belonged as well and have so many wonderful memories of great people and good food and fun.
