It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving father and grandfather, Alvin on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 58 years. He was an extraordinary man with a heart of gold. Alvin had a passion for scrap metal and an eye for antiques. He was the type of person who would talk to and befriend anyone who crossed his path. Always giving in any way he could, Alvin would quite literally give you the shirt off his back. He took great pride in his family, especially his granddaughters; they were the light to his life. Alvin will truly be missed. He was predeceased by parents, Joseph Matychuk and Rose Matychuk (Rosalie Heshka). Alvin is survived by sons, Justin Matychuk (Sara Cheeseman) and James Matychuk (Shyla Kilmury); daughter Jamie-Lee Matychuk (Randy Hilderman); and grandchildren, Abby Matychuk, Kylie Matychuk, and Mackenzie Matychuk. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
