AnnaBelle passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the age of 76 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jim; son Tim; parents, Wendell and Clara Oleson; siblings, Mabel, Clara, Ida, Paul, Dora Mae, Mervin, and Bill.
AnnaBelle is survived by her daughters, Faye (Carman) Rowell, Betty (Brian) Urschel, and Lois (Lyle) Peebles; seven grandchildren, TJ, Dustin, Rudy, Richard, Ryan, Dayton, and Destiny; 18 great-grandchildren, Aislin, Desmond, Lincoln, Isaac, Emily, CJ, Shawn, Angel, Taylor, Jackson, Michael, Isabelle, Kalli, Willa, Marli, Cooper, Benson, an Jasmine; three siblings, Merelyn, Estherann, and Susan; as well as a large extended family.
She grew up most of her life in Sherwood, ND and graduated grade 12 in Pullman, WA. An Achilles tendon injury from a high dive disqualified her from joining the Navy, so Mom set off to start a new life. AnnaBelle married Jim Peebles on February 20, 1962 and moved to Canada. She became a Canadian Citizen on June 21, 1971. Mom and Dad lived in a few small towns in Saskatchewan, with most of the time being in Craven and Findlater. She has lived in Regina the past 16 years.
AnnaBelle has had a few different jobs over the years, such as retail, seamstress, Home Care worker, camp cook in Northern Saskatchewan, market gardens, and house cleaning.
Mom was a very hard working, creative and giving person. In the spirit of giving, she has donated her body to the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine. A Celebration of AnnaBelle’s Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
