To Lucian, Darian and all of Denise’s family members. I am so very sorry for your loss. Denise was a such a beautiful person inside and out and a wonderful friend to me. Although we didn’t talk as often since I moved away, I will miss her so very much. And I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make it back to attend her funeral. I hope that knowing she is no longer suffering brings you some peace. Praying for you during this difficult time and sending you all lots of love.

Denise was an amazing woman who gave of herself even when she struggled with her own health issues. She always wanted to help out in the SCC in whatever capacity she could. I will always remember her good spirit and sweet personality. Denise, it was great to know you and I will miss you always!! I have many memories of Denise, a childhood friend. We were close until I moved away to Swift Current...before that there was school, explorers and some parties. I have followed her story closely on Facebook, and am so sorry to see kidney disease beat her. Prayers and love to her daughter, husband, and all family!! My memories of Denise began when we were children and our mothers were in bible study together. I remember playing with her and looking up to her. In high school she took me under her wing in extracurricular activities and was always accepting, including me in everything and the most positive bubbly personality!! After she graduated I made trips to Lethbridge to continue having fun with her while she was in post secondary and I was still in high school. I treasure all the good times we had together! As an adult I always loved catching up with her. She continued to be the same friendly positive person! My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family during this awful time.

Denise was such an amazing woman, wife, and mother. I had the privilege of teaching Darian two years in a row and through this process I got to know Denise and the caring, encouraging, loving, strong woman that she is. She loved her family fiercely and Darian was her pride and joy. She has raised Darian to be an amazing young lady, full of life and love. My heart breaks for Looch and Darian. I am so very deeply sorry for your loss. I always looked up to Denise. I was a self -absorbed teenager when I met her and she took me under her wing. She was so warm and kind while so beautifully no-nonsense. Her knack for using disarming honesty and realness to make warm and genuine connections left a lasting impression and her wit and gumption always impressed me. What a truly excellent human.
