Obituary of Kathleen Evelyn Prior

Kathleen passed away peacefully at the Grace Care Centre on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 100 years. She was predeceased by her parents Claud and Florence Hymers; her husband Ralph Prior; and brothers, Cliff, Gordon (Norma) and Norman Hymers. Kathleen is survived by her sisters-in-law Pat and Phyllis Hymers; children, Merle Barber (Rob), Keith (Wendy), and Dean (Heather); grandchildren, Greg (Esther) and Scott (Christine) Barber, Collin (Joan), Jonathan (Kate), Karen, Daniel and Tianna; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Adam Barber.  On July 7, 2019, she enjoyed celebrating her 100^th Birthday with all of her descendants and most of her nieces and nephews in attendance. Kay’s home has been Selo Gardens Personal Care Home for more than eight years. We are thankful to their staff and management for providing a passionate caring home. Kay grew up in the Glenbain area. She passed away after a short illness and we are so grateful for the wonderful and caring staff at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. As per Kay’s request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK, on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Please meet at the cemetery gates. A reception will follow at Selo Gardens.
