STEVENS, Ila

Ila passed away peacefully in her sleep in Langley, BC at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by husband Les (2008); and he brothers Elmer (1981) and Iver (2004).  Her memory will be cherished by her son Grant (Loretta); daughter Sharleen (Ray); her grandsons Shaun (Andrea), Ryan (Shannon), Bradley (Melissa) and Taylor (Amanda); and her four great-grandchildren (and they were great), Felicia Finn, Colten, and Taryn; sister-in-law Cordia Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ila was born on September 14, 1921 in Regina, SK. She resided there until 1977 when she and Les retired to their dream retirement spot, in Victoria, BC. They returned to Lumsden Beach for many summers before making Victoria their permanent home. As their health declined, they moved to Langely, BC to be closer to family. As per Ila’s wishes, there will no funeral service.  Following a private family celebration of her life, she will be laid to rest with her husband Les, in the Field of Honor at Riverside Memorial Park.
