FOLKEARD, Leonard R.

Leonard R. Folkeard, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Lewis Folkeard; his sisters Florence, May, Hazel, Edna, and Marjorie; and his infant brother. Len will be dearly missed by his spouse of 62 years Frances; daughters Nola (Gord) Joorisity of Regina and Sandra (Perry) Gray of Emerald Park; and granddaughters Danielle Gray, Kelsey Joorisity, Kristin Gray and Erin Joorisity. Len always put his family first and was extremely proud of all of them. He worked as a computer programmer for SGI until he retired in 1985. Len enjoyed gardening, woodworking, golfing, bowling and cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders. At Len’s request, a private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to The Children’s Wish Foundation or the Regina Humane Society.

A Joint Celebration of Life for Leonard Folkeard and his late wife Frances Folkeard (nee Loree) will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 1C5 on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. For those who cannot attend, a live stream option will be provided.
