Obituary of Elaine Christine Clark

CLARK, Elaine Christine

Elaine passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born to John and Annie Bzdel in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. Elaine is survived by her spouse of 48 years, Ray Clark; her son Michael Clark and his children Brendan and Aleissia; her son Dale (Gillian) Clark and his children Sophie and Max; and her brothers Jim and Len (Lois) Bzdel. 

Elaine grew up on the farm in Wynyard along with her five brothers (Jim, Wilfred, Sylvester, Henry, and Len).  She entered the Congregation of Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate and served the Lord for 10 years until 1968.  After leaving the convent, she met Ray Clark and they married in 1971. Elaine received a Bachelor’s of Education and Home Economics degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and worked as a teacher for many years in both Yorkton and Regina. She was an extremely hard worker and always kept busy with her many interests and crafts, including gardening, quilting, needle work, rug-hooking, Easter eggs and many, many more. All who met her knew Elaine as a truly kind soul, always caring for others first. 

A special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital for the care and kindness given to her during the final few weeks of her life. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Parish, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Wynyard, SK on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elaine’s name to the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5.To
