Obituary of Elsie Klein

Elsie went peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 99 years.  The third of eight children, she was born on August 23, 1920 in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1928, living in the Duval/Strasbourg area, then briefly in Vernon before settling down with her husband and family in Regina. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Klein; her daughter Loretta in infancy; son-in-law Ralph Wiebe; parents, Wilhelm and Bertha Breck; and her siblings, Lucy Campbell, Frieda Albrecht, Hannah Breck, Edward Breck, Phillip Breck, and Harold Breck. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne Klein, Eugene Klein, Ruth (Archie) Ledgerwood and Lucille (Keith) Elhart; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister Erskina Haddad. Elsie was an excellent seamstress, loved doing needlepoint, quilting, gardening, baking pies, and playing many card games with family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at Living Hope Alliance Church, 3900 Arcola Avenue, Regina SK on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elsie’s name to Parkinson’s Canada, 4211 Yonge Street, Suite 316, Toronto, ON, M2P 2A9.
