Obituary of Elaine Faith Hackett
Elaine, late of Lumsden, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the age of 74 years. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Lorraine Smythe, brothers Wayne and Keith Smythe, as well as her grandson Joshua Cann. Elaine is survived by her husband William Hackett; her children Gordon Macdonald, Rebecca Kahan, and Patrick (Allison) Cann; her grandchildren Kian, Nathon (Dezeray), Sidney, Samuel and Alexis; her sister Susan (Jerry) Rieger; and sister-in-law Florence Smythe; she will also be missed by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who knew her kind and selfless nature. Elaine was born in Saskatchewan and also lived in British Columbia and Alberta where she gave birth to her three Children. She married her high school sweet heart in 1987 and returned to the prairies. Elaine was very friendly and made many friends throughout her work and social life. She was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed using her skills in quilting, dress making and many other crafts. The family would like to thank the Regina Renal Unit, Neurology staff at both the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon as well as the Regina General Hospital for the compassionate and attentive care she received throughout her final days.
