Marj grew up and spent the majority of her life in Regina. As the eldest child, Marj took care of her sister Joan and her brother Gary. While at St. Joseph’s School and Balfour Tech, she won various awards for her National prize winning handwriting, stenography, short hand, and overall business knowledge. Marj and her husband Keith, were married for 58 years and enjoyed various social activities together such as being regulars at their favourite places the Trianon Hall, and the CN Hall. She was well-known for her homemaking skills, taking care of her children, and being a social person in all aspects of her life.
Marj was the crochet master, as every member of the family has gotten one of her blankets over the years that she always made too short. Some of her other interests consisted of reading trash magazines, playing the slot machines, watching the soaps, and canning beets. Marj and Keith spent many of their later years as snowbirds in Mesa, Arizona playing bingo and cards, and taking all their visitors for donut Fridays. Throughout the years they kept in contact and continued to socialize with their long-time friends from the CN. After Keith’s passing Marj moved to College Park where she enjoyed eight years of being the bingo captain and socializing with friends. A huge thank you to the support staff and care givers of College Park. At the request of Marj, there will be no funeral, though a private family service will be held at a later date. In addition, flowers will be gratefully declined.
