Obituary of Robert "Bob" Wayne Harris
We are heartbroken to announce that on October 10, 2019, our hero, Robert (Bob) Harris passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love. Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jacki; son Chris (Jennifer) Harris, grandchildren Jordan, Morgan, Abbigail, Emily and Jack Robert; daughter Megan Harris (Jimmi Beaton); daughter Katelyn (David) Forsythe, grandchildren Madelyn and Deklin; brother George (Lorraine) Harris and Family of Kelowna, BC; mother-in-law Peg Byars of ON. Bob was a warrior who fought through many health challenges even after his kidney transplant gave him the gift of life in June 1981, a gift that enabled him to father a loving family. Particular with everything he tackled, from pie crust to renovations, he perfected them all. Bob was not a 'fly by the seat of his pants' kind of guy, every single project he took on was thought out meticulously which led to his nick name 'Mr. Pick.' Bob was a man gifted with patience and the ability to problem solve, both attributes that will be forever missed. The family wishes to thank the staff on 3E at RGH for their extra special care of Bob during his last stay, Palliative Care and to all our friends and family for the love and support we have received. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at The Salvation Army Haven of Hope, 2240 13th Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Since Bob hated pomp and circumstance, please come dressed in your favorite t-shirt and jeans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 1-2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8 or The Salvation Army Regina Haven of Hope.
