COFFEY, Simone

Simone Coffey, 92, passed away at Riverbend Crossing in Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. She was born on March 20, 1927 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan and resided on the farm there until she moved into Regina, where she took a secretarial course at Balfour Technical School. There Simone met Vince and married him in 1951. They raised their six children in Regina and had a happy 63 years together. Simone was an active member of the Catholic Women's League since 1949, a member of the Santa Maria Ladies Auxiliary and a Life Master duplicate bridge player. Simone's well-lived life was centered around her faith, her large, loving family, their many goings-on, and their wonderful get-togethers, especially at the family cabin at Lake Katepwa. Simone and Vince also spent over 30 lovely winters together with their many friends, enjoying many and various activities in their home in Mesa, Arizona. She was predeceased by her husband Vince in 2014; her parents Emile and Ernestine Coueslan; her seven brothers and sisters; as well as her great-granddaughter Cara Faith Curts. Simone is survived by her children Margaret Curts of Calgary, Janet (Spencer) Early of Saskatoon, Sharon (Len) Clarke of Vernon, BC, Donna-Mae (Pat) Byrne of Vancouver, Tom of Port Moody, BC, and Fred of Regina; twelve grandchildren Rob, Joey and Sarah Curts, Andrea (Granberg) and John Early, Reid, Sarah (Smith) and Alison Clarke, Suzanne and Julia Byrne and Alexander and Grace Coffey; six great-grandchildren Jackson and Jase Curts and Anya, Hudson, Keira and Sebastian Granberg. The family is very grateful for the kind and loving care Simone received from the wonderful staff at Riverbend Crossing. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, should you so desire, donations may be made to St. Anne's CWL.
