Our cousin David was a kind and caring guy, who knew how to get lost in the woods and find his way back out, catch frogs, take crazy toboggan rides, navigate being the only boy in a gaggle of girl cousins, and navigate it in style. Childhood memories will never be forgotten. So sorry we haven't seen much of each other in our grown up years, but Dave will always have such a special place in my heart. I cannot imagine what Deb and Aunt Betty, Brenda, Melissa and Taylor are going through, but please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers here in the Alps, where so many of those childhood memories took root.

So sad that Cousin Dave was taken so young. I remember countless summers with Dave and Deb at Gramma Marshall's house; so many fun memories from the trailer and beach near Kincardine and house parties at Uncle Doug and Aunt Betty's place. He's still there in my heart and memories.
Until we meet again Dave.

Saddened Dave has left us, his family and friend's way to young. Marshy was such a positive influence playing hockey with us at Humber College and his Billion dollar smile could light up a room. U knew Dave was with us as laughter was everywhere
Hoping the best for his surviving family hoping one day we can meet and share fun memories, here's one I do remember.
We played a home game against Seneca our rival's, I was playing goal and a shot was blocked and a scrum occurred in my crease. We were in a pile of Humber and Seneca players and I hear Dave's voice as we realize we were lucky the puck was deflected over the boards.
"Coooooop,,,,, they can't beat us Seneca will never beat us!!!!"
You were right Marshy,,,, You were right my friend,,, how I wish we had talked before you moved on to the great arena in the sky.

You were my idol. You taught me how to damn a stream with sticks and mud, build the best sand castle, wait for the perfect wave to body slam as it busted open on the beach. You hit the breaks on the snowmobile when I ran over my sister, then you dug her out of the snow. You took me trick or treating in the big city, and to your grandmas for coke and cookies. You taught me the names of the players on the maple leafs. We played hockey just about anywhere there was almost a flat surface with things resembling a stick and puck. You introduced me to my wonderful wife and now I have two incredible kids. You had a very big impact on my life, I miss you, thank you for the wonderful memories.
Brenda Taylor Melisa Betty Deb I'm so heartbroken for your loss.

Dearest Dave. Your kind heart and gentle soul will be dearly missed here on earth. Growing up with you and your family, we were really one big happy family. Cramming ourselves into the trailer on a rainy day to play cards or board games are memories that I hold dear in my heart and always will. The laughs we shared, the fun we had and the stories that could be told. From snowmobiling, big Burtha on the lake and Witches Mountain. We may have only seen each other once a year for the last part of life, but you will always be in my heart. Rest in peace my friend, and keep an eye on us – make sure we are being good to each other.
Love you always.

I first met Dave in 1996 when he was a Sales Professional at Continental Furniture. Dave was one of the first Sales People I had the opportunity to work with early in my training career and I always learned more from him than he did from me. That would also include the practical jokes he would set me up for! I had the opportunity to work with Dave as a customer, a competitor (when he went to Maytag pre 2006), and lastly a colleague . He was one of those people that took his job seriously but took himself lightly. I will always count myself lucky for the time I had to get to know Dave.

I worked with Dave at Whirlpool and while I didn't know him really well I knew him well enough to know that he is a man who will be dearly missed. He was always quick to smile and share a laugh and made any work situation more fun. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

I met Dave 4 years ago when he started for Whirlpool. What stood out to me earlier this year and at our October meetings was that he helped me with my suitcase each and every time, knowing I am still recovering from major abdominal surgery. This came as no surprise to me because Dave was a considerate guy, always asking me how I was. While working together on the Habitat team this summer, putting up walls and measuring studs with him, I noticed he had great attention to detail. Our team at Whirlpool will miss him. May you as a family find strength and peace while you grieve together.

I met Dave when I first started with Whirlpool almost 6 years ago - I was a field trainer and visited his Maytag store in Regina often. Although I’m sure his wealth of product knowledge was deeper than mine at the time, he always leant an ear and took time to spend with me. As I transitioned into sales in Manitoba and he came on board in a similar role in SK, I got to know him even better as a peer. Although he professed to ‘not be good with computers’ and called me for help, I relied on him similarly for his unique perspective with regards to helping out our customers - his experience from Economy Maytag always seemed to give him an extra edge handling any situation. I’m thankful for the time we spent together at meetings and on the phone. We shared many glasses around many tables together at Whirlpool. Now our Western team is one member short. He is irreplaceable to so many and my heart is breaking for Dave’s family. I can’t imagine the depth of your loss and wish you strength as you come through this together. Dave’s sharp mind and subtle wit will be deeply missed by his Whirlpool family but we will be forever grateful for the time we had.

Dave was an easy guy to talk to. He was genuinely interested in what you had to say. Great to laugh and joke with. We are so fortunate to have met Dave a few years ago and enjoy his company on many occasions. May your family find peace and comfort in the many special memories you have of him.
