Obituary of Jean Eileen Thompson

THOMPSON, Jean Eileen

December 25, 1946 to October 31, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Eileen Thompson (born in Regina, SK on December 25, 1946). Jean passed away peacefully, with family by her side, after a long and valiant fight with cancer, on Thursday, October 31, 2019. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. Jean was an avid gardener, dedicated home maker, and enjoyed her life on the farm. She loved to cook big family dinners that featured her homemade dinner rolls. Jean enjoyed sewing, home decorating, and fruit and vegetable canning. She passed these talents on to her daughters and granddaughters. Jean will be missed by many, but she raised a strong family who will keep her memory alive for present and future generations.

Jean never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes, there will be no services. Her facebook page will remain open and all are welcome to post memories and final words to her there.

She was predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Joyce Nightingale and mother-in-law Ruby Thompson. Jean will live on through her family and is survived by her husband, Stan Thompson of Sedley, SK; three daughters, Bonnie (Thompson) Zink (Glenn Zink) of Saskatoon, SK, Shannon (Thompson) Isted (Victor Isted) of Lethbridge, AB, and Tarina Thompson (Jermaine Fraser) of Hamilton, ON and grandson Stanley (JR.)
