Obituary of Tristan Rose Blacksioux

Tristan was born on September 16, 1987 and passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. She was joined in peace with her partner Melvin Ryder; grandparents, Louis and Gladys Blacksioux and Lloyd Desjarlais Sr; uncles Ralph Blacksioux, Matthew Desjarlais, and Michael Desjarlais; aunts Gail Desjarlais and Glenda Desjarlais and brother Sheldon Blacksioux. Tristan is survived by her daughter Faith Ann Riel Blacksioux; parents, father Eugene Blacksioux (Maxine) and mother Rosie Desjarlais; adopted mom Charlene (Sheldon); grandparents, Robert and Karen George and May (Elmer) Desjarlais-George; sisters, Tara, Cathy, Niomi, Jennifer, Christina, Colette, and May Rose; brothers, Andrew, Ethan, Jack, John Boi, and Jamie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and the Standing Buffalo Community. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved living the traditional life. Wake will be held at the Piapot Band Hall on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Blacksioux Cemetery with reception to follow. Family requests there be no scented perfumes.
