Obituary of Naw Paw Paw

Naw Paw Paw, formerly of Regina SK, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the age of 72 years.  She is survived by her daughter, Wah Wah, and son-in-law Kholon. She was born on April 5, 1947 in Mu Kee, Karen State, Burma. Naw Paw was heavily involved in the local community volunteering as a midwife and freedom fighter for twenty years. She married Saw Roland in 1987 and had one daughter. Her husband passed away on December 26, 1988, when her daughter was a little over one month old. She raised her and gave her the best. Naw Paw lived in a refugee camp in Thailand for seventeen years before she came to Canada in 2014 to join her daughter. She loved Canada so much! In her spare time, she enjoyed watching movies, playing games on her Ipad, fishing, camping and chewing betel nuts. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and weaving. Her family paid this tribute to her; “Moe Moe was one of the most caring and selfless freedom fighters, her love and smile will forever be imprinted in our hearts, and she will be dearly missed.”  Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
