Obituary of Helen Pearl Paseznak

Helen, the sixth of twelve children, was born in Buchanan, SK on September 18, 1918.  She passed away in Regina on Monday, December 9, 2019. Helen met the love of her life John Paseznak in 1941 while working in a factory in Toronto. They were married in 1943 and moved back to Regina where they raised a family and ran a rooming house until she was in her late eighties. They had three children, Elaine, Robert and Gordon. Helen enjoyed oil and acrylic painting, dancing, gardening, and cooking. She lived in her own home until one year ago when she moved to Golden Years Manor where she resided until her death.  She was predeceased by her son Robert in 2001; her husband John in 2014; several siblings; her parents Frank and Maria Suszycki; and her parents-in-law George and Maria Paseznak.  Helen will be lovingly remembered by, daughter Elaine (Larry) Ceholski; daughter-in-law Marion Paseznak; son Gordon Paseznak; grandchildren, Jason Ceholski, Clint (Nadine) Ceholski and their children Nicholas, Dalton and McKenna; Shannon (Nathan) Campbell and their children, Rylann, Devon and Duncan, Tanya (Clark) Mundt and their children, Warrick, Ada, and Tate; Scott Paseznak; and Amber (Tyler) Flett and their children Roman, Truett, Scotlyn, and Axielle; sister Ann; brother Adam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.
