Obituary of Violet Ritter

VIOLET RITTER

Violet, late of Southey, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Caroline Manz, brothers Sieg and Alfred Manz, sisters Olga Senger, Ida Ring and their respective spouses. Violet is survived by her husband of 70 years Paul; son Merv (Peggy Burnett); daughters Shirley (Bob) Gerrard and Joan (Barry) Kuzik; son Allan (Talitha); grandchildren Rhett (Corinne) Gerrard, Kelli (Jody) Kemp, Mark (Jillian) Gerrard, Cameron Kuzik, B.J. Burnett (Jodie) and her newest grandchild Vaughn Ritter (6 months); and eight great-grandchildren. Mom was born October 4, 1928 on a farm south of Southey. She married Paul on October 2, 1949 and together they worked very hard at their business and later their farm. Mom loved to be with her family, and especially her grandchildren. She attended many sporting events to cheer them on. Violet loved her church, her community, her countless friends, traveling and socializing. Mom liked fashion, shopping, and the odd trip to the Casino. Her humour, her gentle laugh and giggle were infectious. We LOVE you Mom!
