Obituary of Mavis Elaine Ryan

Mavis, late of Regina SK passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her son Steve (Karen), parents Harry and Annie Peddie, brothers Don (Vi) and Russ. Mavis is survived by her spouse Gary Ryan; daughters Heather Seib (Tom Bitz) of Regina SK and Susan Regel (Don) of Francis SK; her seven grandchildren Jennifer Schmidt (Dustin) of Milestone SK, Brenden Ryan (Carly) of Regina SK, Tyler Seib (Ally) of Regina SK, Taryn Seib (Jared) of Regina SK, Kirsten Regel (Daryle) of Kelowna BC, Kelsey Matity (Ryan) of Calgary AB and Ryan Regel (Tess) of Russell, MB; as well as her ten great-grandchildren who she was proud of and loved them dearly. Mavis took her RN training at the Children`s Hospital of Winnipeg and worked at the Regina General Hospital. In her later years, she worked as an art consultant at the Assiniboia Art Gallery. She also volunteered her time with the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for fourteen years. Mavis had many interests. She painted and sold quite a number of her works of art. Mavis also enjoyed crafts, travel, reading, shopping and spending time with her family. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter`s Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina SK on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. J.B. Okai presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park will be held at a later date. Those so wishing may make a donation in memory of Mavis to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina SK S4P 2R3.
