Obituary of Gary Winston Church
Sunrise: July 18, 1964
Sunset: January 9, 2020
My love succumbed to the beast inside of him. He is finally at rest and free from the pain and suffering that are hallmarks of his cruel disease. He’s healed...no more pain...no more suffering...only peace and laughter, dancing and rejoicing in his glorified body. He will be missed more than any describable words can express. His pain has finally subsided and it is now our turn to bore the burden of suffering. It is the least we can do for his freedom.
In addition to his love of family and friends, Gary’s strong hand shake, quick wit and one liners will be sorely missed. He never missed an opportunity to come up with a jingle or saying. Often a jack of many trades, there was very little he couldn’t figure out how to fix, build, re-build or make. As a plumber/HVAC technician, he always had friends or co-workers calling him for advice. Nothing stirred him up more than a good discussion on politics! He had a love for snowmobiling and quadding. On one of his snowmobile trips he was introduced to Thrasher Hill. A place he fell in love with and the very place he will be set free.
Gary is survived by his loving partner Vivienne Sich, parents Winston and May Church, sister, Sheryl Price (John) and nephews Alex and Thomas, Vivienne’s mother Alice Sich, sisters Valorie Dolha (Ron) and Vonnie Brodner (Denis), and brother Calvin Sich (Paulette).
