"sabat" _ 19decembre2020
Originally calendared 10-18 December for possibly last visit to the guestbook site of Pearl Carol Dainow, as will remember my unexpectedly final conversation with "Sister Pearl" 30th January, last day of 2019's Hanukkah, and "sabat" will be here by the time of [site] accessibility. To my surprise, I received a very kind, thoughtful acknowledge for my donation to Canadian Mental Health Association, Regina, in Pearl's and also Sharon Hager's names. I think true friendship was valued consistently within [our "circles"]. This was a mentally tough year for our household /community, experiencing deaths of one after another of close "familials" held as "true" friends, combining concerns about the chronic health and subsequent / consistent setbacks dealt with by those still among us. However, I will write about these, and similars, in more length and detail, some other time and venue. . . . Shalom aleichem! . . . all who exchanged energies with "Sister Pearl" surely were "blessed", however subtly. (I know we were, intensely). Blessings during our Seasons of Light&Onward /HiyHiy . . . Dear Ernie, Rob, Elliott and Pearl’s family. I remember Pearl in Alverna. I was a young child and she was The Dainow boys‘ Big Sister. Much calmer than the rowdy boys! I remember her kindness and her laugh with fondness. My sincere condolences to all. Love Rebecca Regenstreif

Deepest condolences to Pearls family .
I sat at her service yesterday and agree that Pearl had the biggest smile and heart warming laugh that was contagious. It warmed my heart to hear of Pearls life , family ,friends and accomplishments.
I will always have fond memories of Pearl talking to her once a week to take her grocery order, laughing and sharing stories and yes she could be very stubborn but it always made me giggle.
She even surprised me once and came to the store to meet me in person , it was so nice to put a face to her name and I saw that beautiful smile of hers ! I will miss my Pearl

Dear Robbie, Ernie, and Elliott, and extended family of Peasrl
We are so saddened to get the news tonight of Pearl's passing. Condolences from all the Bazars. We will surely miss her genuine warmth of heart and tender soul.
Pearl and I became friends when we both found ourselves in Vancouver in 1980. She became part of my early days there and I enjoyed her company while she lived there. She always loved my daughters and took a real interest always in how life was unfolding for us. Many happy memories of get-togethers, meals and special occasions over the years.
We will deeply miss you Pearl.

I'm very sorry to learn of Pearl's death. She and I were friends in Vancouver for years before she moved back to Regina, to be close to family, and we stayed in touch. Once, when in Regina with my partner, we had tea with Pearl, and were happy to see her in such a nice apartment, with all the artworks she loved displayed.
Pearl and I kept in touch by phone. She'd laugh warmly as she described something a grandchild had done, or a community event she'd been part of. In our last call she talked happily about the time she and all three brothers spent together last year.
Occasionally Pearl visited Vancouver. She and I always went out to Jericho Beach to swim, and she never hesitated to get right into the cold water. Afterwards we'd sit on the beach to talk and enjoy the view, and then head out for a good dinner.
I'll miss Pearl, and send my condolences to all the family she loved so dearly.

Dear Louis, my deepest sympathy for you and your family on your mother's passing.
I met Pearl several times over the years at Beth Jacob events and always found her to be a quiet and solid person.
It is a sad time; my thoughts are with you. Blessings, Anne
