Obituary of Herbert Paul Uhren

Herb passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by parents Paul and Johanna; sons, Joseph and Bruce; six siblings and numerous extended family. Herb will be lovingly remember by his loving wife of 63 years Madelon; his two sons Paul (Alexandra) Duran, Herb Jr. “Bert” (Sandy); two grandchildren, Katherine and Christine (Garret). Herb was a past offensive lineman with the BC Lions, and owned and operated two successful businesses, Lonmar Plumbing and Heating Ltd. and Herb’s Mechanical Ltd. Herb was a manager of Cairns Homes Plumbing and Heating Department for many years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made in Herb’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc., 301 – 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1. “You were always there When we needed you. No task too great or small, With a loving heart and willing hand For us you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us And for the times we shared. We pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be He put His arms around you And whispered “Come To Me.” You didn’t deserve what you went through So God gave you a rest, His garden must be beautiful For he only takes the best.”
