Obituary of Hester McNeil Ross

Hester, late of Regina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her parents James and Louisa; sister Ann Wardrope (Roy); sister Janet Naylor (Harry); brother John Brown (Mary); brother Bill Brown (Shirley). Hester will be forever missed and remembered by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Creighton; daughter Donna (Dennis) Evans; son Linden (Laurine); son Doug (Kelly); grandchildren, Tracy Evans (David Junk), Michelle (Francis) Therrien, Erica (Mark) England, Candace (Joe) Jewitt, James and Ben; eight great grandchildren; brother Jim (Alice) Brown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hester’s passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. With an amazingly sharp memory, she never missed the opportunity to celebrate others’ milestones and achievements and diligently kept track of all the interests and activities of the family. She delighted in dancing and immensely enjoyed outings with her neighbours and friends whom she cherished. The family would like to thank the emergency response team and a special thanks to the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and support. A Celebration of Hester’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memoriam to your favourite local charity.
