Obituary of Olga Kopciuch

Olga (née Hensierowska) Kopciuch passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Wladyslaw (Walter) Kopciuch. Olga was born in the village of Podczapincy, Czemerowieki Rayow, Chmielnicka Oblast on August 20, 1923. She was a wonderful wife and mother who worked hard and had a full and happy life. Olga was enthusiastically involved in St. Anthony’s Parish activities, including helping in the kitchen, cultural celebrations, and CWL, alongside her many friends. She was particularly enthused with bingo and enjoyed watching (and criticizing) Stampede wrestling. Olga loved music and was especially in her element when her family was around. Family meals were a highlight for her. There were always extra plates and extra food, no matter what the occasion. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Olga is survived by her son Stan (Sherrie) Kopciuch, grandsons, Ted and Andy Kopciuch, and granddaughters, Diana, Sarah, and Karen Kopciuch; and son Ed (Wendy) Kopciuch, grandson Curtis (Jennifer) Kopciuch and great-grandson Dhamon, grandson Bradley (Trina) Sangster, great-grandchildren, Skyler and Dailyn Sangster, granddaughter Melissa (Chris) Kopciuch, great-granddaughter Keyarah Baun, granddaughter Nicole (Clifford) Young. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Polish Parish, 2275 Atkinson Street, Regina, SK, on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Reception at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK, at 1:15 p.m.
