Obituary of Helen Immel

Helen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Adam; daughter Henrietta; two brothers; and four sisters. Helen is survived by her children, Doug (Mary Ellen), Penny (Ted) Forrest, and Marlys (Gerry MacDonald) Parker; grandchildren, Nikole (Will), Grant (Carrie), Nadine (Chad), Nola (Ryan), Brent (Brenda), and Ryan (Leanne); twelve great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Fox Valley, SK. She was the oldest of six children and five half-siblings. Adam and Helen married in 1940 and moved to the Bridgeford District to farm in 1950. Helen’s interests were helping on the farm, fishing, square dancing, travelling the world, wintering in California, and spending quality time with her family. Later, she moved to Regina and spent fourteen wonderful years at Broadway Terrace. A Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower Parish, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Central Butte, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Central Butte Legion, payable to Royal Canadian Legion #213, P.O. Box 549, Central Butte, SK S0H 0T0.
