Alyce will be lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Joan (Barrie) Parker of Hawaii and their children Allison (Sam Plotkin) Parker, and Andrew (Emily) Parker all of Los Angeles; son Gerry (Colleen) and their children Jennifer (Jordan) Buchko and Erin Kot all of Regina; son Brian (Jane Rooney) of Calgary and their children James (Beatrice Ilg) of Vancouver, Stephanie of Victoria and Julia (fiancé Brendan Gibson) of Vancouver; daughter Nancy (Robin Hill) Kot and their children Christopher and Carly all of Regina; and son David (Tracy) and their children Owen and Ingrid all of Regina; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Buchko, Noa and Hanna Plotkin and Mateo and Sebastian Parker; brother Robert (Marg) Condon of Edmonton; and sisters-in-law Kay Kot of Ottawa and Josephine Kot of Vancouver. Bunny was born near Macrorie, SK on September 25, 1925 and grew up in Saskatoon. She graduated as an RN from St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon and did training for the OR in Toronto where she met the love of her life, Joe. They were married September 4, 1950 in Saskatoon and then spent time in Ontario and Quebec before settling in Regina in 1956. Bunny enjoyed many activities over the years, including camping when the family was young, winters with Joe in Texas, summers at the cottage at Regina Beach, swimming, curling, tennis, square dancing, golf, bridge, Engineers’ Wives’ events and riding her bike around Procter Place. Most of all, though, Bunny loved her family and was extremely proud of all of them. Church was an important part of her life and she was very active in the CWL both at Christ the King and then St. Anne’s where she and Joe were parishioners since 1964. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s R.C. Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK, on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Wintergreene Heritage House for the wonderful care they gave Bunny over the last eight months as well as the staff on 3D at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassion during her last days. Thank you also to her family physician, Dr. Peter VanRooyen, and to Cindy Anderson, Rhonda Rein and the other wonderful caregivers from Nurse Next Door. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc., 301-2550-12th Avenue, Regina, S4P3X1.
