Obituary of Clara Anna Maria Schulz
Clara, a dear mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend passed away very peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the age of 89 years with her son by her side. She was born on June 14, 1930 in Regina, SK. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin in July, 2000; parents Clement and Cecilia Frey; brothers Nick, Mike and Fred; sister Helen Schmalz; nephew Brendan Frey; sisters-in-law Mary Frey, Bert Frey and Helen Hoffman; brothers-in-law Howard Fohr, John Schmalz and Anthony Jaworski. Clara leaves to mourn, her son Gregory (Theresa) Schulz; grandchildren Amanda, Zack, Josh and Brittany; step children, Gwen (Brian) Gilbert, Karen (Jim) Bradley, Marjorie (Nils) Obst, and Dan (Deb) Schulz; sixteen step-grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a third expected in April; brothers, Frank, Gerry (Catherine), Fr. Joe Frey, Ralph (Olivia), and Jim (Charmaine); sisters, Sr. Theresa Frey, Mary Fohr, Anna Jaworski, and Loretta Bouchard; as well as her in-laws; many nieces and nephews and many friends. Clara worked for 33 ½ years at the Regina General Hospital, Grey Nuns Hospital and the Pasqua Hospital. She loved her job as a ward clerk. Marvin and Clara were known for their “come and go’s” which also ended as “come and stays” on holidays and feast days. Clara enjoyed sing-alongs, camping and travelling. She was active in the CWL for over 50 years, Wheat City Art Club and the Regina Senior Citizens Centre. One of her special hobbies was oil painting. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection R.C. Church, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
