Obituary of Kathleen Jeannette Wingerter

Kathleen passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2020 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was predeceased by her parents Nick and Margaret (Folk) Fuchs; brother Joseph and sister-in-law Leslie.  Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Cecil, one daughter and three sons, Deanna (Robert) Lang, Clair, Tim (Janice), and Dwaine (Josephine); five grandchildren, Derek, Brittany, Dylan, Curtis and Ryan; five siblings, Oswald (Carolyn), Mike (Peggy), Al (Irene), and Pat (Cindy); brother-in-law Tony (Louise) Wingerter; sister-in-law Diana Bradford; and special friends, Joanne Bevan and Vera Callan. Kathleen had a heart of gold and always put others first.  She loved to bake, cook, garden and keep a spotless house.  She was an active participant in her church as the sacristan and hospitality, and she and Cecil were nominated in 2019 at the Celebrating Seniors Provincial Volunteer award for their efforts helping the residents at Elmview Extendicare. Kathleen was born and raised on a farm north of Sedley and later moved to Vibank where she met Cecil.  After they married on June 6, 1964, they resided in Regina and lived in the same family home until her passing. Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
