Obituary of Irene Phillipine Nagel

On Tuesday, March 3, 2020 Irene Phillipine Nagel, loving mother, passed away peacefully at age 82 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1937. She spent much of her working life with Environment Canada. On June 26, 1982, she married August Nagel and they raised one daughter together. Irene had a quirky attitude with an indomitable spirit, always moving forward. She spent many hours driving her daughter to ballet and dance class. Irene had a passion for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, enjoyed card games such as cribbage, and polka music. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Katherine; sisters, Eda, Emma, and Angeline; and spouse August. Irene is survived by her sister Helen; daughter Srilanka (Trevor); grandchildren, Dash, April and Foster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to A Grace Within Care Community for their care and compassion during her final year there. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make memorial donations to Holy Child Parish, 2636 7^th Avenue East, Regina, SK, S4N 6A3.
