It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Tyronne Fisher. Predeceased by twin daughters Jennifer and Alison, in infancy; parents Mary and Robert Fisher; and sister (Delores Fisher). Tyronne is survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Potts); his son Ryan (Janet); siblings Goldie (Georgina) Fisher, Marina Roy, and Denise (Rick) Morin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who meant so much to him. Tyronne was born and raised in Lestock, SK and was proud of his family and Métis heritage. He touched many lives in his 26 years of social work at the Regina General Hospital and was a tireless advocate for children. After retirement, Tyronne enjoyed making a difference in young people’s lives as a guidance counsellor for aboriginal students at Miller High School. Tyronne enjoyed volunteering for the NDP, Regina Child Abuse Prevention Committee, Archdiocese of Regina, Compassionate Friends, and the board of Governor’s for the Regina Qu’Appelle Regional Health Authority. Tyronne and Carol enjoyed exploring Saskatchewan and Canada; his favourite place was Waskesiu where you could find him relaxing in the cabin after a hike or late night wildlife drive. In later years, Tyronne became interested in genealogy and compiled three volumes of Fisher family history. Tyronne will be missed by family, friends, and all those he met along his life’s journey.
