Obituary of Donald James Lanoway

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the events of recent days, and with concern for the wellness of family and friends, Donald’s family have made the difficult decision to cancel his public Funeral Service which was to be held this Saturday, March 21, 2020. A private family Mass will be held.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 Donald James Lanoway passed away peacefully on the family farm where he was born 82 years before on May 22, 1937.  Donald spent his entire life living on the farm and working alongside his mother, sister Mary and brother John. He is survived by his nieces Beverley Burgess, Sandra Caron, Cynthia Louden and nephews Richard Darjes and Randy Poloyko.  Donald is also survived by two wonderful neighbors, Edward and Helene Bespalko whose care and concern enabled him to remain on the farm he loved so much.  Donald was predeceased by his father Leo in 1937; mother Margaret in 1977; brother John in 1999; sister Anne in 2008, sisters Jean and Mary in 2013 and nephew Douglas in 2004.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
