Obituary of John Edward Gaetz

John Edward Gaetz, late of Lumsden, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 83 years.  His love of life, his genuine efforts to make people happy and joking personality will be missed. The family is grateful for the comfort and care the Lumsden and District Heritage Home caregivers provided John. He  was predeceased by wife Dorothy; parents Julie and Anthony; sisters Julia Dykstra, Bernie (Arnold) Herndier; brothers Valentine Gaetz, Tony Gaetz; sons Rod Gaetz and Philip Gaetz. John is survived by sister Ronnie (George) Kuntz of Prince Rupert, BC; brother Richard (Pat) Gaetz of Osoyoos, BC; daughter Anna Gaetz of Regina, SK; sons Brad (Lynette) Gaetz of Buena Vista, SK, and Mike (Julie) Gaetz of Regina, SK; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.    Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private family interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. A Mass of Remembrance will be announced and held at a later date.
