Feeling bad I missed the memorial online. Slipped my mind as I was sending off my youngest who moved into a new home in Orno, Maine where he attends college. Caron was a great conversationalist with strong opinions on everything. She always treated people from all walks of life with dignity and respect. Loved dearly by her brother, my Dad, Geary was always so cheerful in anticipation of her arrival. I remember family members exasperatedly speaking and giggling about the impending visits of our cousins from the north. Why are they driving? The question always asked and answered with, "I don't know, but I think it's because they liked seeing the countryside." Well, I didn't fully appreciate that at the time. but it became and remains today my family's favorite mode of travel. Even after the 26 hour drive from Saskatoon with two kids in a lime green station-wagon Caron would stay up late into the morning hours talking about everything, especially Papa's chickens on Long Island, games of spoons, acey-ducey and other such memories. Aunt Caron represented "woman power" at a time when they had little in this world and will be fondly remembered by me.

We remember Pastor Caron fondly from her time at Trinity Lutheran Church, Quinton. I spent many after-schools with her in our confirmation classes and valued the great conversations we had with her about spirituality and life. She contributed so much to our church community. Our condolences to her family and loved ones.

Dear Melissa and Mark, I became reacquainted with your Mom when I became pastor at Augustana in Saskatoon. I enjoyed our visits and shared communion. Your Mom was a musician and coach to the very end. When I came to visit with my hymnbook she would advise me "Stop, stop .... you need to sing that in a higher key" and I would adjust and then we would carry on. We would talk shop about the challenges of being a pastor.and about living out our faith in the world around us. May God embrace you and give you comfort. Pastor Marilyn Fowlie-Neufeld.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Pastor Caron. We enjoyed the time we had with her at St Paul's Bergheim, especially when we made all of the paper banners, which are still in use. She was blessed with the gift of music and she gladly shared with us which broadened our horizons, so we are thankful.

I remember my Aunt Caron laughing with her siblings as all of us cousins and extended family members gathered to spend time together. She had a great deep laugh! Mark and Melissa may your fond memories be of comfort to you both during this difficult time.
