Obituary of Walter Rudy Schmidt

Walter, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday May 20, 2020 at home at the age of 64 years. He was born in Gravelbourg, SK on August 30, 1955. Walter resided in Regina then after retiring, he moved to Collingwood Estates to enjoy his “glory days.” He was predeceased by his mother Georgette and brothers, Wayne and Leonard. Walter leaves to mourn his loving wife of 41 years, Rosie; two daughters, Tabatha (Trevor), and Jennifer (Travis); son, Chris; eight grandchildren, Shantel (Riyash), Lucas, Anthony, Riley, Andrew, Kayla, Austin, and Ryder; great-granddaughter Zarah; his two sisters, Myrna (Wayne), and Dorothy; and eight brothers, Jim (Marlene), George (Marceda), Don, Bryan, Paul (Shawna), Andy (Traci), Joey (Vonnie), and Bill (Allison). Walter was an outgoing, loving, caring, and Mr. Know-It-All. There was nothing he loved more than catching up on the latest Chicago Blackhawks hockey games and cruising around on his golf cart. As per Walter’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, but as he would say, continue to “Let the good times roll.”
