Obituary of Harvey Allan Nicholson

Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Harvey Allan Nicholson passed away on the evening of Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at age 85.  He was born on November 20, 1934 in Regina.  Harvey was an exceptionally talented pianist who earned the gold medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto in 1956.  His love for classical music and contributions to the Saskatchewan music community both as a soloist and an accompanist not only gave him great pleasure but also earned him recognition and respect throughout his life.  Harvey was a well-rounded individual, who also enjoyed a forty-year career with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, where he made many close friends, most of whom shared his interests in golf, baseball, curling, and other recreational sports.  Harvey was predeceased by his wife, Diana Patricia Nicholson; his mother, Mary Nicholson, and his father, Ernest Nicholson.  His life is remembered and celebrated by his sons, Scott and Kelly (Rachel); his grandchildren, Rebecca and Rhett; his brother, Garth and sister-in-law Martha Nicholson; sister-in-law June Zora; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Due to the Covid-19 gathering restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
