Roni passed away peacefully with her daughter Kathy, son-in-law Bill and granddaughter Tabatha at her side at the age of 76 years. She will be forever remembered by her daughter Kathy (Bill) Calder and their children, Chandra (James) King, Billy and Natasha; son Trevor and his daughter Tabatha; great-grandchildren Jimmy, Aiden and Kayla King; siblings, Marty (Deanna) Judy (Harvey) Eugene (Shirley), Michael (Darlene), Anita (Darrell), and Vince (Lynda); sister-in-law Carol Shearer; and numerous nieces and nephews. We are especially grateful for mom’s caregivers, Ingrid and Moraq. Roni was predeceased by her husband Gordon and parents Martin and Lena Gergely. Family was Roni’s life.  Her and Gordon planned all vacations to visit their children in their current cities allowing them to experience locations they would otherwise never plan to see. Becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest joys but nothing surpassed the arrival of each great-grandchild. Roni will be forever remembered for all the people she supported and sponsored often saying “I will never promise better only different and different is often better.” Roni had a variety of careers but none as fulfilling as her years with AIDS Regina.
