Obituary of Lakota Rose McKay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, sister, wife, daughter, niece, and cousin, Lakota Rose McKay at the age of 28 years.  She was predeceased by her mother Loretta “Mag” McKay; maternal grandparents, Angus and Edith McKay; brothers, Dakota Klatt (in infancy); and Tyson McKay; as well as numerous family members close to her heart. Lakota is survived by her long-time partner Tyson Wesquate; children, Emma Lynn, Mason and Erica; siblings, Wesley (Aaron), Dallas, Kristen, and Cheyanne (Alex); nieces, Kaleah, Alorah and Ariel; father Brett Klatt; paternal grandparents, Richard Klatt and Grace Holyer; as well as many relatives and friends too numerous to mention. For those not able to attend the wake or service, a visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Wake will follow at Muscowpetung Education Centre, Muscowpetung First Nation, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.   Interment in Muscowpetung Cemetery.
