Solange Ferrara

Obituary of Solange Marie Ferrara

FERRARA, Solange “Sally”

January 20, 1952 – June 8, 2020

On June 8, 2020, Solange “Sally” Ferrara passed away peacefully with family by her side. Sally will be remembered for her laugh and ability to make people feel welcomed and at ease. She will not be remembered for her cooking (although the sound of a smoke detector alarm ringing will always remind us of her.) She loved to camp, travel, cheer for the Roughriders, and search for lady bugs with her grandkids. She was a spiritual person, finding strength and resiliency through her Faith until the end. Sally lived a blessed life and we are all blessed for having known her. She was predeceased by her parents Albertine and Gabriel Ferraton; mother-in-law Yvette and father-in-law Shorty Ferrara. Sally leaves behind her devoted husband of 48 years Allan; her daughter Natalie Millar, her son-in-law James and her brilliant and amazing grandchildren (it’s a grandma’s prerogative to brag) Alex and Anouk; her son Chad and grandfurbaby Bugsy; her younger siblings Roger Ferraton and wife Rose, Diana Barth and husband Dale, Raymond Ferraton and wife Danette; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Diane and Mark Ferrara; her numerous nieces and nephews, nieces-in law and nephews in law, and cutie grandnieces and grandnephews; her BFFs; her Harvest City Church Community as well as extended family and many dear friends. Sally will be deeply missed. The campfire won’t be the same without her. Due to covid-19 restrictions, a private memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre or the Palliative Care Unit, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.
