It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Ann Heal (Armstrong) at the age of 73, on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Santa Maria Care Home in Regina. Virginia was predeceased by her mother, Blanche Armstrong. She is survived by her husband Terry; their daughters Janine (Don) and Michelle; her brother Ron (Wilma), and her sister Janice. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and a large extended family.  Virginia was born in Moosomin, SK on November 23, 1946, where she grew up and went to school. In 1970 she met and married her husband Terry and over the years they resided in Toronto, Calgary, Regina, Yorkton area and finally retired in Regina. Virginia loved being a stay at home mom, and was a fabulous cook, enjoyed knitting, needlework and painting.  She enjoyed annual winter vacations, until the onset of Alzheimer’s. Thank-you to all the staff at Santa Maria Care Home for their wonderful care and compassion towards Virginia. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. To view the livestream of service please click on the link to Speers TV at the top of Virginia’s tribute page at www.speersfuneralchapel.com. Please be aware the livestream link will be available the day of the service. Interment will be in the Maryfield, SK cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Society, Santa Maria, or a charity of your choice.
