Thomas Davidson

Obituary of Thomas Edward Davidson

It is with heavy hearts the family of Thomas Davidson announce his peaceful passing on July 7, 2020 at 62 years old. Tom was born in Saskatoon, SK. to Bob and Betty Davidson - one of four children. He spent summers at the family cabin at Days Beach on Jackfish Lake. Tom loved to be outdoors. He had a remarkably indomitable spirit right from the start.

In his 20’s he was blessed with two children, Alanna and Drew. The three of them spent many weekends at the lake, swimming, biking or searching for “picklepook park.” He volunteered for school canoe trips and overnights with Cubs and Beavers. His “Forever Love” Sherry and her son Cole entered his life in 1995, and they married in 2004.

Tom had a life-long passion for sales. Even at the young age of 10 years old he was selling greeting cards, door to door. He had a magnetic and energetic personality that one could not forget. The last eight years of his career were spent working with All Weather Windows. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He had a strong work ethic, which was exemplified in all aspects of his life.

When Tom wasn’t working you could find him travelling, cooking, golfing, spending time with family, “chillaxing” or out at the lake. He loved to entertain and when you entered his home you were guaranteed to share a delicious meal and many “belly laughs."

Tom was always bringing people together, even in his final weeks. He had this incredible ability to find the laughter and joy in any situation. He was a “big kid” at heart, which made him exceptional in his role as papa to his grandsons. He was an example of positivity, strength and resilience even in his final moments.

Tom will forever be remembered by his wife Sherry; children Cole (Melanie), Alanna (John), and Drew (Lisa); grandchildren Owen, Isaac and Elliot; mother Betty; siblings Linda (Roger), Larry (Kathy), Joanne (Robb); nieces Jenny and Alixx, and nephew Tristin (Ashley); as well as many special life-long friends. He was predeceased by his father Robert.

The family would like to give special thanks to all those involved in Tom’s care. At Tom’s request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency or Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
