It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Matriarch. She was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully, after fighting numerous battles with her health. She was one of the strongest women you could imagine, because her feistiness, determination and strength overcame so many battles. Right to the very end she tried her hardest but she was called home to be with all of the people she loved and missed, like her husband Gordon; parents Joseph and Eva; brothers, John, Pat, Ken, Ray and Lawrence; and sisters, Rose, Annette, Elizabeth, Bernadette and Marian. Catherine is survived by her children, Tim (Sandy), Marietta (Murray), Donna (Darin), Ian, Trevor (Racheall) and Jackie (Scott); grandchildren, Lacey (Carl), Bryceton (Sarah), David (Brie-anne), Dustin, Murray (Brittany), Mark (Ashley), Jessica, Joshua (Rayah) and Karma; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Ryan, Murray, Marcas, Miyah, Rylan and Kaiden; sisters, Marge and Donalda; brother Don; special godson Barclay; as well as many many numerous family and friends. There are no words to express how much she will be missed. No holiday will be the same and they were all important to her. She made sure her house was the best decorated house on the block and she was the best baker and cook you could imagine. Catherine made sure to pass on all baking and cooking secrets to her family and we will continue to honour her huge spirit. A special thank you to Dr. Hamilton for his compassion and always making heartfelt inquires when he returned twice a year to help out at Gardens Medical Clinic. Thank you to the nurses from Home Health Care Services for their home visits and health services. They did their very best to help her with her battle. She is no longer in pain or suffering and we know she is with her love ones dancing in the sky. “We love you mom and best grandma!” Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, seating will be limited.
