Obituary of Colin Campbell

Colin, passed away on August 10, 2020 ten days before his 69th birthday. He was strong throughout his bouts with cancer beginning in 2014 and passed leaving many loved ones behind. His wife, Janis (McLeod); his son Ryan (Toronto); Reagan Haus and Glen Forrester, Trystan Haus; Erin Shaw and Simon Shaw, Linden and Isabel. Colin was born in Glenwood Municipality, Manitoba on August 20, 1951 to John Orland Campbell (deceased 1989) and Shirley Ethel (Ailsby) Campbell (deceased 2006). John Harley Campbell, an educator and goalie coach, was his brother (deceased 2006). Colin’s work life started at Clark’s Apiary in Treesbank, Manitoba. For a guy who later fell in love with huge cities, he did not want to move from Wawanesa to Brandon in 1967! It was in Brandon he met Mona Lombaert whom he married in 1971. Chad Charles (deceased 2006) and Ryan Jonathan were born in Manitoba. Colin graduated with Honours and Lt. Govenor’s Silver Medal with Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Major and Math Minor as an adult learner having been a tele-control technician with Manitoba Hydro. The family moved to Regina in 1982 where Colin worked with SaskCom/Westbridge/ISM. Colin was a proud and active ECWU member before moving into management. He became a Master Mason in 1989 with Wascana Lodge and valued that association rising to Grand First Principal of Royal Arch Mason of Saskatchewan in 2016.  In 1992 Colin married Janis Haus and moved to Regina Beach.  Colin and Janis formed CMI Campbell McLeod Consulting Inc. in 1995. Several wonderful opportunities came his way in Saskatchewan and in the UK, first with Insights Learning and Development-Scotland and most recently Lumina Learning – England.  This work provided Colin with great friendships and travel opportunities to Europe and South Africa which he valued greatly. Regina Beach offered Colin wonderful new friends, sailing, dogs, cats, and the beauty of the valley. Arrangement details are postponed at this time. In lieu of flowers – and we mean this! – please donate to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7.
