John Morgan

Obituary of John Gary Morgan

Those who knew Jack Morgan are saddened by the loss of a quick wit, a great storyteller and a man who lived by his own terms. On Tuesday, August 11, 2020 Jack passed away at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina at the age of 79. Jack was born on September 7, 1940, was raised in Regina and made the city his home. He worked in a number of automotive businesses, most notably Neil’s Corner Shell where he provided superior service and often, a well-told joke. He was predeceased by his parents Darrel and Nancy; brother Howard; sister Ruth Clyne and brother-in-law Jake. Jack will be fondly remembered by family and friends, and by anyone who enjoyed a great story and a beverage with this one-of-a-kind character. He loved his summers at Regina Beach, enjoyed recalling his trips to Hawaii and was a big fan of classic cars. He was a true original.  In recent years Jack had several health challenges and enjoyed family gatherings with his niece Delaine and nephew John and their families. Many thanks to the kind and caring staff at the Pasqua Hospital, the William Booth Special Care Home, and special thanks to Cheryl and Joe at the Four Seasons Care Home who gave Jack a great home in the last months of his life.  Family and friends may make a donation in Jack’s name to the Saskatchewan Lung Association (https://www.lungsask.ca/donate).
